The announcement was made at the recent eBay Developerís Conference in Las Vegas by Michael van Swaaij, eBayís chief strategy officer. The program is supposed to go into beta mode this month. Business Process Outsourcing firm ICICI One Source (I-One source) will open an on-shore delivery centre in Northern Ireland, in a move that will mark its presence in European continent.
The company would invest about four-five million pounds in setting up outsourcing center in Northern Ireland, creating around 1,000 jobs over the next two years, I-One Source MD and CEO Ananda Mukerji told reporters here on Tuesday.
The investment, supported by Invest Northern Ireland (INI) is expected to deliver over 28 million pounds (US$51.5 million) in wages and salaries to the local economy by 2008.
The centre will be fully functional by July, he said.
